New parents located in the Portage Park area are searching for a full-time nanny for their infant boy. Both parents work from home, so we are looking for someone comfortable partnering with parents who will be present in the home during the day.
Beginning: April 2026
Hours Needed: 32 hours/week. Monday–Thursday, 9 AM–5 PM (Ability to work up to 40 hours/wk.)
Compensation: $30.00-$35.00 + PTO, vacation time, and sick time off (Flexible with compensation depending on experience). W2 only.
Duties:
Provide high-quality, one-on-one care, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
Prepare bottles and, when age-appropriate, assist with puréed foods and solids.
Wash, fold and put away the child’s laundry, and change the bedding sheets.
Collaborate with parents to maintain a healthy nap schedule.
Promote physical and cognitive growth through reading, tummy time, sensory activities, and developmentally appropriate play rooted in Montessori-based principles.
Tidying up the baby’s room and cleaning baby gear.
Research and create a schedule of age-appropriate activities that support curiosity, independence, and child-led learning.
Requirements/Preferences:
Ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience.
Engaging and child-focused.
A Montessori background or familiarity with Montessori-based principles is a plus.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
No driving required.
Comfortable moving between a basement, main floor, and second floor throughout the day.
Up to date on standard vaccinations.
Infant CPR certified, or willing to obtain certification before start.
No pets in the home.
