Let’s face it celebs manage their crazy lives because they have nannies too. LOTS of them.
Welcoming a baby into your life is such a pivotal moment, filled with so many happy emotions. There are so many aspects that will change in your life and household. Decorating the baby’s room, researching the best stroller, arranging childcare. It can send your entire world into a frenzy!
So, it goes without saying that when celebs have children it takes their lives to a whole new level, and hiring a nanny is first on their list. When A-lister families such as, Julia Roberts, Angelina Jolie, and Jessica Alba are searching for a nanny; just who do they hire, what are their rules for the children, and home; what are their special request.
In this blog piece I’ll explore a bit in the world of Hollywood Stars and their nannies. Celebrity nannies like all nannies help raise children and keep homes running smoothly. And while this position may sound fun and glamorous, some nannies handle beyond “extra” request from their A-lister moms.
According to forbes Julia Roberts, who has three children recently told Access Hollywood that she wouldn’t have been able to travel the world filming Eat, Pray, Love without the support of a “village,” which included her husband, Danny, friends, family, and oh, wait a second … a couple of “amazing women” who “help take care” of her three children. And when she was filming Eat, Pray, Love she also had her nannies wear red wigs while putting them to bed. Seems very strange? However, Roberts had good reason for this special request. She really hoped her children would not miss her while she was gone. I wonder if they bought it?
As one of Hollywood’s leading actresses and very well know for her humanitarian efforts. Naturally, she wants all her nannies to have a friendship with her and her children, and does not consider them as employees but as part of her diverse family. However, according to thehollywoodreporter her nannies must speak two languages, have college degrees primarily in education; among other requirements. All her nannies are paid quite generously highest salary reported was $150,000.
Finally, Jessica Alba best known for her baby care products, and founder of The Honest Company. She has a very important message for all new mothers. You shouldn’t take the new journey of parenthood alone. She owes so much to her nanny, and isn’t shy about singing her praises either! Alba took to Instagram refinery29 to show just how lucky she is in having Nanny Connie for 10 years and thanked her for showing her all the ropes. Alba admits it truly takes a village!
