Full-Time Nanny | North Center, Chicago
A wonderful family in North Center, Chicago is seeking an experienced, dependable, and nurturing full-time nanny to become an important and trusted part of their family.
The family has three children, ages 8, 6, and 4, and is looking for someone who views nannying as more than simply a job. Because the family does not have extended family nearby, their nanny will play a significant role in providing consistency, support, and care for both the children and the family as a whole.
They are looking for a long-term partnership with someone who is dependable, communicative, flexible, and genuinely enjoys becoming part of a family.
Schedule
The following are the family’s base hours:
- Monday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Tuesday: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Wednesday: 12:30 PM – 6:30 PM
- Thursday: 2:00 PM – 8:30 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Additional hours, including overnight coverage when necessary, will be discussed and mutually agreed upon in advance. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with the possibility of occasional overnight care and understand that flexibility is an important part of supporting this family.
Responsibilities
The nanny will be responsible for providing loving, attentive, and age-appropriate care for all three children. Responsibilities will include:
- Managing the children’s daily routines and schedules
- School and activity transportation
- Helping with homework and school-related responsibilities
- Preparing simple meals and snacks for the children
- Planning engaging activities, outings, and play
- Supporting the children’s independence and development
- Maintaining a tidy and organized children’s environment
- Communicating openly with the parents about the children’s needs, schedules, and activities
- Providing occasional overnight care when needed
Driving
Driving is required for this position. The family will provide a nanny car.
A clean driving record is required.
