A warm and welcoming family in Lincoln Park is seeking a dependable, organized, and caring Part-Time Nanny / House Manager to help keep their home running smoothly while providing loving care for their 3 year daughter.

This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys balancing childcare with household support and takes pride in creating a calm, organized home.

Position Details

  • Location: Lincoln Park, Chicago
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–6:00 PM
  • Hours: 15 hours per week
  • Start Date: Flexible
  • Compensation: $35.00-$40.00 (Gross)

Responsibilities

Childcare

  • Pick up child from daycare (approximately 10 minutes from the family’s home by car)
  • Provide attentive, engaging care until a parent returns home
  • Create a warm, safe, and positive environment
  • Overnight support when both parents are traveling this would be on rare occasions. One parent should be home, or grandparents when they are available.

Please note: Mom will handle daycare pickup 1–2 days each week. On those afternoons, additional time will be spent assisting with meal preparation instead of childcare.

Meal Preparation

  • Chop vegetables and prepare ingredients
  • Mix marinades and assist with meal prep
  • Occasionally prepare simple family meals by following recipes or instructions (such as sheet pan or tray bake dinners)

No grocery shopping is required. Groceries are delivered to the home.

Household Support

  • Folding family laundry 1x/week on Fridays (no meal prep this day)
  • Clean breakfast dishes
  • Light tidying of common areas
  • Vacuum or Swiffer floors as needed

This is not a heavy housekeeping position. The home is professionally cleaned twice each month.

Qualifications

  • Previous childcare experience
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Reliable personal vehicle
  • Enjoys cooking and meal preparation
  • Dependable, organized, and proactive
  • Warm, engaging, and enjoys spending time with children
